The soundBadge personal noise dosimeter (PND) and Sound Level Meter (SLM) system is the first wearable noise dosimeter to combine a high-quality integrating averaging SLM that exceeds the IEC-61672 Class-2 standard with a wearable personal noise dosimeter that meets all the requirements of IEC-61252. The device has onboard memory and simultaneously records: Dose, A-weighted level and either C or Z-weighted level every 1/4 second. A and C/Z can be recorded either with fast (1s) or slow (1/8s) time constants.

soundBadge accurately measures from 55 dB SPL to 140 dB SPL and from 20Hz to 20kHz with the in-built microphone. A unique sub-measurement + hold function allows making a separate average measurement for Dose, A, C/Z, and Cpk without disturbing a larger ongoing measurement.

The device is powered by a single rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can last 16 hours and is recharged in 3 hours via USB. It can be password protected with a 4 digit code to prevent measurement tampering.

The soundViewerTM PC software presents the soundBadge data files graphically, allowing you to re-analysis and providing you with customizable reporting templates. Zooming on particular areas and re-calculating doses for different time periods is easy and producing the reports is fast and easy too. In addition data can be exported to standard spreadsheets for further analysis.
